The OPP said that the grass fire is currently under control and both fire departments are working on extinguishing the structure fire. Highway 7 is currently down to one lane and drivers should expect traffic delays in that area.

L&A County officers remain on scene (as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 12, 2023) with the Addington Highlands Fire Department and Stone Mills Fire Department, and are asking motorists to use caution and have patience as the fire department makes the scene safe, according to the release. The roads will be fully re-opened once the Fire Department is satisfied that the “hot spots” are contained.
