Town of Napanee’s former Infrastructure Services office to be sold for $1.5 million

The Town of Greater Napanee is selling the former Infrastructure Services Office at 45 Commercial Court for $1.5 million with the deal to be finalized at the Regular Council meeting Tuesday, Jun. 27, 2023.
On the agenda for Tuesday night is “A By-law… to provide for the disposition of the property known as 45 Commercial Court… Town of Greater Napanee, County of Lennox and Addington, Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Greater Napanee has determined that the Lands are surplus to the needs of the Corporation and should be sold; and whereas public notice of the declaration of the Lands as surplus has been given … the Lands listed for public sale with the real estate broker vendor of record, in accordance with the procedures of the Town’s Sale of Land By-law; now, therefore… the Corporation of the Town of Greater Napanee sell the Lands to 15053102 Canada Inc. for the sale price of $1,500,000.00.”
The sale price matches the asking price of the property’s sale listing.
The bylaw will authorize the Clerk and Mayor “to perform all acts and to take such steps and execute such documents under the seal of the Corporation as may be necessary to effect such a conveyance.”
Directors of record for 15053102 Canada Inc. are Chantal Lafrance and Murray Aitken of Harrowsmith. Aitken is the president of Morven Construction.
The former Infrastructure Services office was declared surplus after purchasing the new town administration building in 2022 at 99 Advance Avenue in Napanee. That move was made in an effort to consolidate Town staff, who were previously dispersed in multiple buildings across the town, including at 45 Commercial Court.
