Tommy’s partnering with Queen’s student group to raise funds for local causes
Tommy’s Kingston is partnering with the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) at Queen’s University for their first Supper Series of 2019, which is coming up next Tuesday, March 5th, 2019.
Your food will be delivered to your door with no cost. 10% of the proceeds, as well as all tips on deliveries will go to local charities.
For the first Supper Series, donors will be supporting Kids for Kids and After School Buddies.
The main goal of Kids for Kids is to raise awareness for Child Life programs in the Kingston community. The Child Life programs work to improve sick children’s welfare in hospitals. Kids for Kids connects Queen’s University students with opportunities in Kingston hospitals and brings awareness back to the Queen’s campus about the importance of the Child Life programs.
After School Buddies works closely with the local Boys and Girls Club, where ASUS offers volunteer opportunities for Queen’s students to engage in athletics, crafts, and the homework club with a wide range of age groups at the Boys and Girls Club. ASUS also aims to organize events at the Boys and Girls club, integrating different Queen’s clubs and organizations to offer children inspiring experiences.
Here are the local charities that donors will be supporting during this Supper Series:
Tuesday March 5 – Kids for Kids and After School Buddies.
Tuesday March 12 – Heart and Stroke and Partners in Education.
Thursday March 21 – Autism Partnership and Cancer Triad.
Tuesday March 26 – Alzheimer’s Outreach and Friends for Inclusion.
Tuesday April 2 – Lost Paws.
