Three people arrested after drug search warrant issued in Deseronto

A laundry list of charges have been laid against three individuals from Deseronto as part of an investigation into possible drug trafficking carried out by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
According to police, the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit took the lead on the investigation, which led to the execution of a search warrant at an address on Thomas Street in Deseronto on Monday, May 1, 2023.
“Approximately 26 grams of suspected cocaine were seized,” the OPP said in a press release the same day.
“Additionally, two firearms, along with ammunition, a high-capacity magazine, digital scales, and cash were also seized.”
As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged, according to the OPP.
Zachary Dorrington, 32, of Deseronto, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Failure to comply with a probation order
- Possession of property obtained by crime with a value under $5,000
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order
Kristina Green, 30, of Deseronto, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of property obtained by crime with a value under $5,000
Brock Alkenbrack, 26, of Deseronto, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of property obtained by crime with a value under $5,000
According to the OPP, all three individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee in July 2023.
