Third suspect arrested in connection with Fraser Street shooting incident
Kingston Police have successfully identified and arrested a third suspect involved in the Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 shooting incident on Fraser Street.
The suspect, the driver of the vehicle involved in the shooting, was identified by Kingston Police Major Crime Unit on Monday, Feb. 4. At approximately 2:35 p.m., detectives tracked down the accused man and located him exiting a vehicle on Delhi Street in Brockville. The accused man was arrested and, upon being searched, was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.
Joseph Ferguson, a 30-year-old man from Brockville is charged with the following in relation to the shooting incident on Jan. 29:
- Attempted robbery
- Attempted break and enter
- Two counts of attempted murder
- Four counts of reckless discharge of a firearm
- Use of a firearm to commit an offence.
As a result of his arrest, Ferguson is also charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
This arrest comes after the arrests and charges against two other parties involved in the incident.
