Suspect involved in golf course break and enter located and arrested

Kingston Police, with the help of London Police, have located and arrested a man accused of participating in a break and enter and theft at a local golf course.
The accused man, along with an accomplice, broke into a private office at a local golf course at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. The pair removed a large safe on a dolly cart and loaded it into their vehicle.
According to Kingston Police, the value of the safe and its contents was just over $1,000. Kingston Police detectives began an investigation and, with the assistance of London Police, were able to identify the accused man in question. With the accused man’s whereabouts unknown, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, the accused was arrested by London Police. Kingston Police travelled to London, Ont. and transported the accused back to Kingston Police Headquarters, where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
The 71-year-old Kingston man was charged with breaking and entering.
