Suspect flees after bank robbery in Kingston

Kingston Police are currently investigating following a bank robbery in Kingston’s west end.
The robbery occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at the CIBC Banking Centre located at 785 Gardiners Road. Kingston Police report the suspect involved fled immediately following the robbery.
Police remained on scene at the CIBC location, combing for evidence and pulling footage from security cameras in the hour following the robbery.
According to Kingston Police, the suspect was armed, and fled the scene in a black Toyota CH-R crossover-style vehicle, which was last seen travelling eastbound on Taylor Kidd Boulevard. Police could not say whether or not the suspect was able to obtain any money.


The suspect is described as a black male standing 5’7″ to 5’8″. He was wearing sunglasses and a parka-style coat with a fur-trimmed hood at the time of the incident.
