Waiting for a bus on Montreal Street turned into a less common event for one local woman.

On Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, the woman was waiting for a bus at approximately 9 p.m. when a stranger suddenly assaulted her. With no provocation, the man charged at the woman and punched her in the ear. The victim fell to the ground and the accused man fled. Witnesses came to the aid of the victim and contacted police.
