Storefront damaged after car drives into Bell store

Kingston Police, Kingston Fire and Rescue and Frontenac Paramedics were all called to the Rio Can Centre in the city’s west end after a vehicle crashed into a store front on Thursday, Mar. 21, 2019.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m., when a silver vehicle drove through the front of the Bell store in the Rio Can Centre off of Gardiners Road. Witness reported no major injuries, but the damage to the retail outlet was extensive, scattering brick and broken glass. Witnesses said the driver was a woman in her 30s, who sustained minor injuries due to the incident.
The cause of the crash, as well as the estimated cost of the damages to the Bell store, are unknown at this time.
