Stolen clarinet returned to delight of owner

Local musician Spencer Evans could not be happier that a delivery arrived on his doorstep the evening of Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019.

Much to his surprise and delight, Evans was greeted by a neighbour who had discovered Evans’ clarinet (which was stolen from his front porch on Sunday, Feb. 3).

“All I can say is I’m thankful for the good in the ‘hood! It came back just as I left it,same old crappy backpack, and random stuff inside, and my beautiful baby,” said Evans, one of Kingston’s most well-known musicians.

“It was on Charles St. the whole time, delivered by (my neighbour)Will, on his scooter.”

Evans expressed sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support shown to him by the local community.

“Thank you all!” he said in a post on Facebook.
