Special Weather Statement and Snowfall Warning for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Kingston, Odessa and Frontenac Islands and a Snowfall Warning is in effect for Napanee, Consecon, Picton and Sandbanks Park.

Significant snowfall is expected in the region beginning late Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon and continuing through the night before tapering off Monday morning. The bulk of the precipitation is expected to fall throughout the afternoon and evening on Sunday.

Total snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm are expected by Monday morning.

Strong wind gusts up to 60 km/h and local blowing snow reducing visibilities are also possible. Travel on roads could become hazardous at times.
