Snowmageddon
Yesterday, Kingstonians woke up to nearly 10 centimeters of fresh snow. For me, it took about 45 minutes to clear the sidewalks and parking spaces around the homestead. This, combined with uncleared sidewalks made me late for work. Thankfully this was the general trend around the office, so I didn’t feel too bad. Today, weather forecasters threw down their chicken bones and predicted two major blizzards for the northern shores of Lake Ontario. One will arrive early tomorrow morning, while the latter will hit Kingston sometime on Sunday. The kicker is the estimated snowfall, which Joe Weatherperson says could total anywhere from 15 to 45 centimeters. Is this honestly the best guess they can provide?
Although I’m pretty excited about tomorrow being my last day of work for a while, I’m moreso looking forward to a potential shut down as a cause of the snow. Having a bit more of the white stuff around for XMas is also pretty great. Now if only I can find someone else to shovel.
