St. Lawrence College (SLC) will no longer require masks to be worn on campus or in SLC facilities as of Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
The lifting of this mandate comes a full month later than the college had announced earlier this year. At the end of March 2022, the college had announced that they would remove the masking requirement as of May 1, 2022, along with proof of vaccination, and proof of a negative antigen test for those with an approved exemption.
According to a release from the college, they will continue to provide medical grade masks at security offices on campus for any SLC students or employees who wish to have one.
SLC Campus Health Centres will continue to require masks, as this is in keeping with different infection control requirements within clinical health settings, the college stated. Anyone with an appointment at a campus health centre who arrives without a mask will be provided with one. Specific programs and labs that have a PPE requirement will continue with processes currently in place.
