As we head into the slowly lengthening days of February our minds may turn to warmer thoughts of spring and flowers. But there’s another reason why we often think of these things at this time of year — a February highlight that also involves chocolates and all things love!

That’s right, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and for those who celebrate, it can be a perfect chance for a pick-me-up near the midpoint of winter.

Local businesses are ready to help you celebrate the annual day of love — however you choose to spend it. Spoil loved ones, or yourself, with these special Valentine’s Day ideas:

Give your love a Victorian Valentine

Valentine’s Day 2023 marks Chartreuse Flower Works’ 10th Year in Business — Huzzah!

Their favourite Valentine’s offerings include:

  • The Victorian Carnation & Forget Me Not gift box: antique carnations, lush foliage and accent flowers, a handmade greeting card made to look from the Victorian Era, and a package of Forget Me Not seeds. Such old-world keepsakes will extend your romantic sentiments until the spring.
  • Red Roses? Not on their watch! Chartreuse brings you the “Pink Floyd Rose,” the most fragrant, best-performing hot pink rose available. This bouquet is lovingly tucked into a 35-inch gift box with high-end foliage, accent flowers, Merci chocolate bar, and a handmade by-the-florist card.
  • Honourable mentions: tulip bouquets, cinnamon heart boxes, Lego flowers, hand-tied bouquets, and orchid plants.

Call Chartreuse at 613-329-9443, stop by their shop at 577 Division St, or shop online at www.chartreuseflowerworks.com for exclusive products and designs, and exceptional customer love.
