Severe thunderstorm warning for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee and Consecon.

Heavy rain, lightning and possible hail is expected to begin overnight into Tuesday morning. Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.

A severe heat warning also remains in effect for the area.
