Bath Rd near Sir John A MacDonald Blvd remains closed following a serious single vehicle at around 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon which resulted in life-threatening injuries to multiple people.

At least four Frontenac Paramedics ambulances, two Kingston Fire & Rescue firetrucks and several Kingston Police cruisers responded to a report of an SUV which had collided with a light pole, pinning a pedestrian and also trapping several occupants inside the vehicle.

The pedestrian and one of the vehicle occupants suffered serious and life-threatening injuries. Kingston Fire & Rescue extricated the occupants and they were placed in the care of paramedics.

Frontenac Paramedics say they treated a female pedestrian and a female passenger for serious and life-threatening injuries, while the male driver was treated for serious injuries. All three sustained possible head injuries, according to Frontenac Paramedics.

As of 5 p.m., Bath Rd continues to be closed in the area for a Kingston Police investigation and collision reconstruction. It is expected to be a prolonged closure due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained.
