Serious injuries in multi-vehicle collision on County Road 41

At approximately 3:00 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, officers of the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other emergency crews responded to a report of a three vehicle collision on County Road 41 near Frizzell Road in Stone Mills Township.
According to a release from the OPP, a white pick-up truck was traveling southbound on County Road 41 and collided with a northbound truck hauling a trailer. OPP said the white pick-up truck then collided with a second northbound grey pick-up truck head-on. The vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane.
“The driver of the southbound pick-up truck was transported to hospital by EMS and treated for serious non-life-threatening injuries,” OPP stated. “The driver of the grey pick-up truck was transported to hospital by EMS with serious life-threatening injuries. The passenger in the grey pick-up truck was transported to hospital by Air Ornge with serious life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck hauling the trailer was uninjured.”
The roadway was closed while OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) team attended the scene.
