Rainfall warning issued for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton, and Sandbanks Park.

On Saturday, rainfall between 15 to 25 mm is expected, with sustained winds of 20km/h from the northwest, gusting to 40km/h in the afternoon.

In the evening, rain mixed with snow is expected, ending after midnight then mainly cloudy. Rainfall of 5 mm is expected through the night. Winds from the west are expected to reach up to 50km/h.

Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
