Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton and Sandbanks Park.
“Rain, at times heavy, is expected today. Rainfall amounts of 35 to 50 mm are likely with local rainfall amounts of 60 mm possible,” the national weather service said in the advisory.
Rain is expected to taper off later this afternoon or early this evening.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” Environment Canada said in the Warning. “Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
