After two days of alternating lane reductions on the LaSalle Causeway during the daytime, Kingston residents can expect delays at the bridge for the next two days over night.
According to Public Services and Procurement Canada, the LaSalle Causeway will be closed intermittently for inspections and maintenance work on Thursday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 from midnight to 6 a.m. each day.
“The bridge will be in a raised position for periods of up to 30 minutes. It will be lowered after each period to permit the passage of all users,” PSPC said in a press release on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.
“Public Services and Procurement Canada encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.”
In the event of inclement weather, the work will be postponed by one day, PSPC said.
