Prepare for alternating lane closures on LaSalle Causeway

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is advising motorists of a lane closure taking place on the LaSalle Causeway this week.
The closure will take place on Thursday, Mar. 19, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in order for repair work to be carried out. During this period, one lane will be closed and one lane will remain open to allow for alternating traffic. Two flagspersons will be on site to direct traffic. Motorists can expect delays through the area as a result.
During the closure, the bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be impacted.
According to PSPC, the schedule for the closure may change depending on weather conditions. In the case of inclement weather, the work and subsequent closure will take place on Friday, Mar. 20, 2020.
“Public Services and Procurement Canada encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience,” PSPC said in a press release on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2020.
