Unable to contact all customers who may have been exposed, Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health has publicly confirmed a COVID-19 positive case at the Walmart Supercentre.

Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health for KFL&A Public Health, confirmed the case on Wednesday, Apr. 7, 2021 in a press release from Public Health.

Public Health is recommending customers who were shopping in the Walmart location on Saturday, Apr 3, 2021, between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19, as they may be affected.

“As part of the COVID-19 case management and contact tracing process, KFL&A Public Health follows up with close contacts of individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. If the contact tracing team are unable to identify close contacts of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, a public release may be issued to reach those contacts,” the press release said.

Public Health did not suggest that customers in the store on that date get tested, however, anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 is advised to do so.
