Positive case of COVID-19 confirmed at Maple Country Home & Farm

Dr. Hugh Guan, Acting Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health confirmed a COVID-19 positive case at Maple Country Home & Farm Ltd. at 3851 Davidson Side Road, Inverary.
“KFL&A Public Health recommends that individuals who attended Maple Country Home & Farm on Monday, October 4, 2021, through to Saturday, October 10, 2021, to self-monitor for symptoms for 10 days from their last visit at this business. We recommend all individuals affected by this exposure go for testing even if you do not have symptoms. If symptoms develop, please seek testing and self-isolate,” KFL&A Public Health said in a statement dated Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021.
The COVID-19 assessment centres in the KFL&A region are available by appointment. Public Health asks affected individuals to please book online or by phone.
Maple Country Home & Farm shared a post on Facebook yesterday, alerting their community of the case, “We regret to inform you that there has been a positive case of COVID-19 at our store. We are working closely with public health and all precautions have been taken. We will be keeping our store closed for the next few days so we can deep clean and to prepare for a safe reopening. We will keep you updated on when we will reopen. The health and well-being of our staff, customers and community is our top priority,” they stated.
As part of the COVID-19 case management and contact tracing process, KFL&A Public Health follows up with close contacts of individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. If the contact tracing team are unable to identify close contacts of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, a public release may be issued to reach those contacts, according to the statement.
