Police seek witnesses after motorcyclist injured in Napanee collision

One motorcyclist is now thankfully in stable condition after suffering life-threatening injuries as a result of a collision that occurred in Napanee.

The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) provided the update on the motorcyclist’s condition the morning following the collision, which occurred just after 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The collision took place at the entrance to McDonald’s on Centre Street, just south of Jim Kimmett Boulevard.

The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured, and the injured motorcyclists was transported to hospital, the OPP said in a press release on Friday, May 12. One lane of Centre Street remained closed off to traffic for several hours as police collected evidence from the scene.

Currently, the collision remains under investigation, according to the OPP, who would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision. Witnesses or those with information are asked to contact the L&A OPP at 613-354-3369.
