Police seek suspect in stabbing case
Kingston Police are looking for the suspect in a stabbing that took place on Friday, Jul. 6, 2018.
The male suspect was cycling east bound on the south side of Bath Road just east of Portsmouth Avenue just before 9 p.m. that day. The victim, who was walking with his wife in the area at the time, became involved in a confrontation with the suspect, which escalated into an altercation. During that altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim before fleeing on his bike.
The victim, screaming, began searching for the suspect in the area of Bath Road and Van Order Drive, and responding officers located the victim walking on Casterton Avenue. He was transported to hospital for treatment of his injury.
The suspect is described as a white male with a skinny build and a narrow face. He was wearing dark-coloured baggy shorts, a baggy black tee shirt and a baseball cap, and was riding a mountain bike that was not a bright colour, according to a press release from Kingston Police. The suspect was last seen in LaFleur Park, which is located between Portsmouth Avenue and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, and flanked by Bath Road and Van Order Drive.
