Police seek public assistance regarding an assault causing injuries

Kingston Police are asking anyone with knowledge of an assault that took place in early August to come forward.

The assault took place on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, sometime between 2 and 2:30 a.m. when two brothers were standing in the area of Princess and Division Streets, about to get some food. Three men unknown to the brothers approached them. According to a press release from Kingston Police, the three men seemed to be looking for trouble and had been calling out to random people trying to start a fight.

Out of nowhere, one of the three men pushed one of the brothers to the ground. When the second brother tried to intervene, he was quickly punched in the face, resulting in injury.

The three suspects are describes as Caucasian males, 17 to 24 years of age. Two of the trio may have been brothers due to their resemblance of one another, police said.
