Police seek input to identify man using stolen credit card

Kingston Police have released the above photos obtained from surveillance footage in an attempt to identify a male who used stolen credit cards.

The cards were obtained after a wallet was stolen from a vehicle used in the west end overnight from Friday, Jul. 6 to Saturday, Jul. 7, 2018. Two credit cards and a debit card in that wallet were then used to make multiple transactions, according to a press release from Kingston Police.

Police are asking the public to look at the photos of the suspect, and anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Dan Silver at 613-549-4660 ext. 6243, or by email at [email protected]. Tips can also be provided anonymously by calling the Kingston Police general number (613-549-4660 ext. 0) and asking to be anonymous, or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Kingston Police receive complaints about wallets, purses and valuables stolen from vehicles on a regular basis and would like to remind citizens to lock vehicles whenever they are unattended, even for quick stops. Whether your lock your vehicle or not, it is important not to keep valuables inside, according to police.
