Police seek information on violent attacks in downtown Kingston

Kingston Police are looking for any witnesses or those with information regarding two violent attacks that occurred downtown in late January.
The assaults occurred around midnight on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 in the area of Johnson and Division Streets. The two victims were at a house party in the area at the time.
According to police, the first victim left the house party via the front door. As he came down the steps of the residence, he was attacked by a group of four males. Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Shortly after the ambulance had left with the first victim, the second victim confronted a group of males in the area whom he suspected had been involved in the first attack. The group of males attacked the second victim, who subsequently also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The group of males are described as being in their early 20s with dark complexions, dark hair and facial hair. The men were wearing darker coloured puffy jackets, and were seen entering a nearby house on Johnson Street.
Both Kingston Police and Queen’s Campus Security and Emergency Services are actively investigating these incidents.
