Police seek information on suspect in downtown Kingston theft

Kingston Police have released the above image captured from surveillance footage and are asking for information with regard to a theft and the identity of the female pictured in the plaid shirt, who is the suspect in that theft.
Police were called to Whit, a clothing store in downtown Kingston, with regard to a theft on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021. There, at approximately 2:40 p.m., two young females entered the store, and one was observed concealing a shirt in the handbag she was carrying. Staff at the store approached the woman when she went to leave the store without paying for the item, and the woman subsequently removed the shirt from her purse and paid for the item. She then provided a store employee with a false name before leaving the store, Kingston Police said in a press release on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021.
Employees then reviewed video surveillance and noticed that the female in question also concealed a pair of shorts, which she did not pay for.
