Five days after a shooting along a busy stretch of Bath Road in Kingston, police have disclosed that no arrests have been made.

“Kingston Police are still seeking any information or dash cam/security video footage from in and around the scene of last week’s shooting, which occurred at approximately noon on March 24, 2023, in the area of Centennial Drive and Bath Road,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2023, two days after Kingstonist was able to obtain limited information from Kingston police.

The release noted that, “contrary to online speculation,” there was only one victim involved in the shooting.

“Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division have been working diligently on this case and appreciate all of the assistance and tips provided by the public thus far,” police said, noting that any further updates pertaining to this investigation will be delivered via media releases.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Mar. 28, 2023, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) announced the full resumption of standard activity at the Henry Traill Community Correctional Centre, which sits on the Collins Bay Institution property adjacent to where the shooting occurred.

Anyone with information or dash cam/security video footage of any portion of the incident is asked to contact either Detective Constable Chris Cook at 613-549-4660 ext. 6313 or via email at [email protected], or Detective Sergeant Chad Parslow at 613-549-4660 ext. 6245 or via email at [email protected].
