Police respond to stabbing on Kingston Transit bus

Kingston Police are currently investigating after a person was stabbed on a Kingston Transit bus on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.

Kingston Police were dispatched to the area of Brock Street and Bagot Street at approximately 10:07 a.m. after one passenger on a bus was stabbed by another.

Policed cordoned off the area of Brock Street in front of Hotel Dieu Hospital, as well as a small area of Bagot Street, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to Const. Ash Gutheinz, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police said the male suspect involved in the incident was located nearby and arrested. The victim was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time. Kingstonist will update this article as more information becomes available.
