Police release photos of female suspect involved in downtown theft

Kingston Police have released the above images and are asking for public assistance in identifying a female theft suspect involved in stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

Police would also like to identify the male that was seen with the theft suspect in the hopes it may lead to the successful identification of the suspect.

The theft occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, when the female suspect entered the Lululemon store on Princess Street in downtown Kingston. The woman proceeded to select a “stack of merchandise valued at approximately $700 to $1,000 and then walked past the cashier area and out of the store without making any attempts to pay,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020.

The woman was last seen on security footage walking towards Queen Street from Princess Street near Clergy Street. She was with a male who had not entered the store with her, but was clearly walking with her as she headed towards Queen Street.

The female suspect is described as Caucasian and approximately 30 years old, standing 5’4” tall with blonde hair and a thin to medium build. She was wearing a black Canada Goose coat with dark pants and black running shoes with white soles at the time.

The male accompanying the suspect is described as Caucasian and approximately 30 to 40 years old, with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket with distinctive white striping, blue jeans, and black high-top shoes or boots at the time.

    What a couple of scumbags. I bet they sold the items for peanuts to get drugs. Sure takes balls to do that!!! All the gall in the world.
