Police looking for witnesses to Notch Hill Road hate-related crime

Kingston Police are currently investigating a hate crime that took place in central Kingston and are asking for any witnesses to the crime to come forward in an attempt to identify the suspects involved.

The “hate related mischief offence” occurred on Wednesday, Jul. 3, 2019 between 9:30 and 11 p.m. in the area of 67 Notch Hill Road. There, the victim had left his car unattended, and returned to find his vehicle had been vandalized. According to Kingston Police, all sides of the car had been keyed, and racist remarks had been inscribed into the hood and roof of the car. Additionally, both headlights of the vehicle had been smashed out.

Three unknown youths had been observed in close proximity to the vehicle prior to the victim returning to find the damages, police said.
