Police look to identify persons of interest after vehicle stolen from Kaladar auto lot

The Lennox and Addington (L&A) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting the public’s assistance to identify persons of interest after a vehicle was stolen in Kaladar.

According to the L&A OPP, their detachment received a report of a stolen vehicle just after 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 23, 2024. The vehicle in question was stolen from Bence Motor Sales on Highway 7 in Kaladar, police said, describing that vehicle as “a dark maroon 2019 Ford F-450” with the Ontario licence plate ‘BR39595.’

In reviewing surveillance footage, police found that a suspect vehicle was involved in the theft. A white SUV (possibly a white Ford Edge) was seen on the footage pulling into Bence Motor Sales lot and dropping off an individual. That individual then entered the dark maroon F-450, which was subsequently stolen.

The L&A OPP said that the suspect who entered the F-450 pickup truck was wearing a white hoodie at the time of the theft. Police also detailed that the stolen vehicle had both licence plates attached (front and back) and had both a rear pintle hitch and a front hitch receiver.

Anyone who might recognize the suspects, the suspect vehicle they arrived in, or the vehicle that was stolen is asked to contact L&A OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
