Police find stolen vehicle, other stolen items, after checking on suspicious situation

In the early morning of Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, Kingston Police responded to an underground parking lot on Princess Street to investigate a suspicious vehicle with bicycle parks lying beside it.
On arrival at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers found two people inside the vehicle. Police confirmed the vehicle was stolen, and both occupants of the car – a man and a woman – were arrested.
During a search of the male, officers found a bag of suspected methamphetamine in his coat pocket. Additionally, a search of the vehicle found numerous items, including jewelry, computers, identification cards, and more bike parts.
Both individuals were arrested. A 33-year-old local man and a 58-year-old local woman are jointly charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property. The man is additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, and breach of recognizance. The woman is additionally charged with three counts of breach of probation.
