The Lennox and Addington detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police can add cattle corraling to their list of duties after an odd call on the evening of May 10, 2021.

At about 6:00 p.m. that night, police responded to a call involving a cow wandering around downtown Napanee on Dundas Street.

Police say the cow kicked its way out of a trailer that had been stopped earlier on Dundas street. Eventually, the cow’s owner was able to get a new trailer, and police helped coral the large animal back onto the new trailer.

“No people or animals were harmed in the interaction,” police said in a press release. “The cow-moooved along.”
