A man and a woman from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have been arrested in Kingston following the execution of a drug search warrant at a north end hotel.

According to Kingston Police, the arrests occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, when members of the Kingston Police Drug Enforcement Unit executed the warrant at a hotel located in the area of Benson and Division Streets. The Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit aided in the events, arresting the pair as they exited their hotel room.

After carrying out a search of the room, officers located a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl, as well as $320 in Canadian currency, and “evidence of drug trafficking,” Kingston Police said in a press release on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021.

As a result, Yohance Parsons, 28, and April Borgiani, 24, both of the GTA, were jointly charged with possession of cocaine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. Borgiani was later released from custody, while Parsons was remanded into custody, police said.
