Planned power outage on Thursday for Williamsville and Kingscourt areas

Utilities Kingston released a statement advising their customers in the Williamsville and Kingscourt areas of a planned power outage on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.

Affected streets and times are as follows:

Utilities Kingston says customers in these areas will experience two separate 15-minute outages the first at 5 a.m. the second at 7 a.m.:

  • Connaught Street
  • First Avenue between MacDonnell and Nelson
  • Concession Street between MacDonnell and Fergus
  • Victoria Street between Concession and Princess
  • Nelson Street between Concession and Princess

Customers in this area will experience a two-hour outage starting at 5 a.m.

  • Princess Street between Victoria and Chatham

According to Utilities Kingston, this power outage is necessary to allow workers to install new underground electrical distribution equipment on behalf of the electricity distributor, Kingston Hydro Corporation.
