Paladins trounce Gaels in 133rd Carr-Harris Cup

The Gaels and Paladins set a Carr-Harris Cup attendance record with 3,888 fans filling the Leon’s Centre for the game on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019.
The first period started slow, but the RMC Paladins managed to score 2 goals. The Queen’s Gaels finished the period scoreless.
The second period was the determining factor of the game. Only 30 seconds into the period the Paladins scored their third goal. With the Paladins scoring two more goals in the second, the Gaels fell seriously behind, and only managed one goal in the second period.
With no one scoring in the third period, and with chants of ‘RMC’ rocking the rafters of the building, the iconic rivalry between the Paladins and the Gaels was put to rest for another year. The final score was 5-1 for the Paladins.
