OUA men’s hockey playoff doubleheader kicks off

Less than a week after playing one another in the 34thannual Carr-Harris Cup, the Queen’s Gaels and RMC Paladins men’s hockey teams will be hosting home playoff games in the opening round of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) hockey playoffs.
Tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, the Gaels will host the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) Patriotes in Game 1 of the OUA Eastern Conference best of three quarter final. Game time at the Memorial Centre is 7:30 p.m. The series will then switch to Trois Rivières for Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The Gaels ended up in 7th place (12-13-1-2) in the OUA East after dropping a 4-0 decision at home to the Ottawa Gee Gee’s on Sunday afternoon. UQTR come into the series as the second seed in the east with a regular season record of 19-6-1-2.
The 8th place Paladins will face top seed Carleton Ravens, who come into the playoffs on an eight-game winning streak and a regular season record of 24-3-1-0. Game 1 in that series is also tonight at the Ice House on the Carleton University campus. Game 2 will be at the Constantine Arena on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will be in Ottawa om Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.
