Two Ottawa teens charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Kingston

A stabbing in Kingston’s west end has led to two teenagers being charged with attempted murder, Kingston Police said on Friday, Mar. 18, 2022.

According to police, the violent incident occurred on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, Mar. 17, 2022, in the Old Colony Park area of Kingston. Kingston Police were called to the area due to the stabbing at approximately 8:35 p.m. that night. The incident involved two male suspects and two male victims, police said, and one of the victims was rushed to Kingston General Hospital by Frontenac Paramedics with “very serious injuries.” The second victim did not sustain any injuries.

The ensuing investigation, carried out by Kingston Police general patrol officers and members of the Criminal Investigation Division, led to two 17-year-old male youths from Ottawa being charged with attempted murder. One of the youths has been additionally charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public safety, as well as assault with a weapon. Those charges stem from the assault on the second victim, according to police.
