OPP: Two Kingstonians facing weapons charges
Police responding to a disturbance at a business in Napanee early this morning ended up arresting three people and laying weapons-related charges on two of them.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, officers from the Lennox and Addington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the business after receiving a report about the disturbance. As a result of the ensuing investigation, two people were charged.
Lisa Adams, 39, of Kingston has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with a recognizance
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Being the occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon
Jami Michael Shea, 40, of Kingston has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with a probation order (five counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Being the occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (two counts)
- Failure to comply with a recognizance
Both accused parties remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee.
