OPP stop erratic driver in Napanee, lay impaired driving charges

A Greater Napanee man is facing impaired driving charges after OPP witness his vehicle driving erratically.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2021, officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed the vehicle driving in an erratic manner. Police then initiated a traffic stop on Centre Street in Napanee, according to a report from OPP, dated Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2021.
OPP say officers determined that the driver was showing signs of impairment and the driver was subsequently arrested and taken to the L&A County Detachment for further testing.
As a result, Jordan William Anthony Morrow, age 20 of Greater Napanee has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drug; and,
- Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. Morrow will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
