Update: Suspect arrested – OPP seeking assistance in Napanee assault investigation

The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to thank the public for assisting in their investigation into a February assault in Napanee, as they have now laid charges in the case.
According to the a press release from the OPP on Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2022, a suspect has been identified in the investigation of an assault of a male party on Dundas Street in Napanee, which police had previously requested public assistance in. The assault occurred on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 outside of a Dundas Street restaurant, and the suspect was unknown at the time of and after the assault. The male victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result.
The OPP said that suspect, Lucas Gray, 22, of Loyalist Township, was arrested, and has now been charged with assault causing bodily harm. Gray has been released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee in May.

Officers of the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for assistance from the public with an assault investigation that took place on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, in which a male party was assaulted on Dundas Street in the Town of Greater Napanee sometime between 6 and 7 p.m.
According to a release from the OPP, the male exited a restaurant in the area of John and Dundas Street when he was assaulted by an unknown person. He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries during the assault, OPP said.
Police said that they would like to hear from any witnesses that may have any information in relation to this occurrence. Anyone with information is asked to call L&A County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
