OPP seek public assistance to identify suspect in Amherstview theft


The Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for public assistance in identifying a male suspected of stealing from a Shoppers Drug Mart on Sherwood Avenue in Amherstview.
The male person of interest was caught on video surveillance taking cologne without paying for it on two separate occasions. The first incident occurred on Monday, Feb. 18, and the second occurred on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, according to the OPP. The total cost of the cologne stolen is in excess of $500.
The suspect is described as a male Caucasian between the ages of 25 and 35 years of age. He has dark hair. He was wearing dark shoes, jeans, and a dark hooded sweatshirt on both occasions, and possibly wearing a Washington Redskins hat on one of the occasions.
