OPP seek public assistance to identify person of interest in Amherstview theft

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have released the above photo and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest.  

Shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021, police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred overnight in Amherstview. Investigation revealed that a wallet was stolen and a person used the stolen credit card at two businesses in Amhertview, according to a release from OPP, dated Tuesday, May 18, 2021.  

The suspect was caught on video and can be described as wearing:

  • A two colour hoodie;
  • Dark hair;
  • A Nike ball cap with sunglasses on top;
  • Blue mask;
  • Dark pants;
  • White running shoes; and
  • A tattoo on both wrists.
