OPP seek public assistance to identify break and enter suspects

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have released the above photos and are asking the public for assistance in identifying two males suspected of breaking into Amherstview Golf Course.

According to the OPP, the two men were together when they entered the pro shop at the golf course at 3:57 a.m. on Saturday, Jun. 22, 2019 and stole cash. The two were captured on video surveillance, as shown above.

“Two people are seen wearing face coverings carrying a backpack and a duffle bag. Both are of thin build.  One person has beige pants and a dark colored T shirt. The second is wearing dark pants and a long sleeved shirt,” the Lennox and Addington OPP said in a press release on Friday, Jul. 5, 2019.

Additionally, the OPP said there have been thefts from vehicles in the parking lots of local golf courses over the last few weeks, and items like shoes and golf bags have been stolen.

“Police would like to remind the public to lock their vehicles and remove valuables from sight,” the OPP said.
