After a heavy police presence around Amherstview on Monday, Mar. 13, 2023, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are appealing to the public for assistance in their investigation.

As previously reported by Kingstonist, olice descended on the Amherstview area of Loyalist Township just before noon on Monday, responding to a reported attempted robbery at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) location on Speers Boulevard. No weapons were reportedly seen during the incident, nor were any injuries sustained.

Officers, assisted by the OPP Canine Unit, remained in the area searching for the suspect for several hours. Now, the OPP are sharing further details and requesting public assistance in their investigation.
