OPP seek assistance to identify vehicle after ‘apparent road rage incident’ in South Frontenac

The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking the for public’s assistance after an apparent road rage incident in South Frontenac Township.

According to a release from the OPP, officers are investigating a collision, which involved a vehicle that struck another vehicle in a road rage incident.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, an individual was driving along Bradford Road in South Frontenac Township when an unknown vehicle came from behind, followed for a time, and then passed aggressively, braking quickly in front of them, nearly causing a collision, the OPP reported.

“The unknown driver then reversed and rammed into the side of the individual’s vehicle,” the OPP said.

“There were no reported injuries, but both vehicles will have damage. The unknown vehicle left the scene, heading in the opposite direction on Bradford Road.”

Investigators want to hear from witnesses or those with dashcam or doorbell camera video footage in the area of Bradford Road and Ellerbeck Road on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, from approximately 7:10 to 7:20 p.m.

The OPP described the unknown vehicle as:

  • An older model four-door sedan
  • Beige or gold in colour
  • Chrome bumpers
  • Large, square headlights
  • Similar to Cadillac or Lincoln models
  • No licence plate obtained
