OPP seek assistance during investigation into fatal Napanee collision
The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal vehicle collision and requesting assistance from any members of the public who may have information.

Just after 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, L&A OPP officers responded to single vehicle collision on Bridge Street West in Napanee.
“Officers were advised that a vehicle had driven into a concrete construction barrier and that the vehicle had then left the scene,” the OPP said in a press release on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022.
According to police, officers located the vehicle a short distance from the scene of the collision. The driver of the vehicle was found to be seriously hurt and was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Later in the day, the injured driver was pronounced deceased, the OPP said.
The identification of the deceased individual is currently being withheld, pending notification to next of kin.
